ANNE MCNAIRN NUTRITION

Hello!
I'm Anne, a dietitian who is passionate about helping people improve their relationship with food and feel more comfortable in their bodies. I deeply believe that all bodies are good bodies and we deserve to feel good in them.

My practice is grounded in principles of weight inclusivity and Health At Every Size (HAES)/anti-diet care. I provide non-judgemental support as people navigate their relationships with food and their body.
My Story
I became a dietitian because I wholeheartedly believes in disease prevention. I take an upstream approach to health by focusing on mindset, behaviour modification and nourishment to help you feel your best and to prevent disease. While I have clinical experience in long-term care, hospitals and in the community, I am passionate about helping individuals increase longevity earlier in their life and to live happier, healthier lives. As a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Intuitive Eater Counsellor, I use person-centred care to help my clients achieve their goals and to find more peace with food and their body. I am licensed with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Western Ontario (UWO). I completed additional training in Dietetic Education and Practical Training at UWO, where I had a year of hands-on training experience in a variety of areas, including: general medicine, surgery, seniors, mental health, diabetes, sports and community health. I am committed to ongoing education and staying current with best practice, and have obtained additional education in Dysphagia Assessment, Eating Disorder Training, and I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor.
About Dietitians
Dietitians work with you to understand your particular needs and challenges around food, and to help you find solutions. They help you feel empowered to understand for and to enjoy it. Dietitians help simplify nutrition by providing advice and information that supports your health goals. In a world where we have access to endless information, it can be overwhelming to sift through all of the opinions when it comes to optimal nutrition. Dietitians are trained to assess research and translate it to be easy to understand and to help you meet your individual needs. Dietitians are held to a high standard and are required to maintain ongoing professional development.
